Dialogue Filter - Pro Feature

Filter the document's content down to just the Dialogue lines for all or specific characters. This report is useful, for example, during film production to simplify the script for actors or others who do not need to see all line types, who only need to view the dialogue.

Filter Dialogue

  1. Select Reports > Dialogue Filter OR select Dialogue Filter in the Analysis widget
  2. Check the boxes for which characters’ lines will be seen.
    1. All dialogue will include dialogue from all characters in the script
  3. Choose if scene headings will be included
  4. Select View
  5. The open script will now only show the selected characters' dialogue and View Dialogue Report will show as active in the Modes widget on the right of the display.
    1. To retain the content as is, export as a PDF.
    2. A Document Statistics report or any other report can be run on it. 
    3. Editing this content will apply to the main document as this is only a filtered view of the main document's contents.
    4. To return to the full script, close the report in the Modes widget.
