Change Account Password, Email, or Name

Sometimes you need a change. Easily change your account information through your account profile.


Change Account Password

If you use Google or Facebook to log in, you will need to change your password through that account. If you would like to no longer use Google or Facebook to log in, reach out to help@writerduet.com

  1. Select your Account icon
  2. Select My Account
  3. Select Update Password
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Select Submit
  6. Enter the new password twice to confirm
  7. Select Submit

Forgot Your Password

While Logged In

If you realize that you forgot what your password is and you are still logged in, you can get a reset link sent to your email from within the app.

  1. Select your Account icon
  2. Select My Account
  3. Select Update Password
    1. An email will be sent to the email on the account
  4. Go to your email and select the link
    1. You will be prompted in a new tab to enter a new password
  5. Select Save
  6. Close the tab


While Logged Out

If you are trying to log in and realize you forgot your password, you can get a reset link sent to your email from the login window.

  1. Enter your email
  2. Select Next
  3. Select Trouble signing in?
  4. Select Next
    1. An email will be sent to the email on the account
  5. Select Next
  6. Go to your email and select the link
    1. You will be prompted in a new tab to enter a new password
  7. Select Save
  8. Close the tab
  9. Go back to WriterDuet and log in with your new password

Change Account Email

If you use Google or Facebook to log in, you will need to reach out to help@writerduet.com to get this process started. 

  1. Select your Account icon
  2. Select My Account
  3. Next to the Email, select the edit icon
  4. Enter your password
  5. Select Submit
  6. Enter the new Email
  7. Select Submit

Change Account Username

  1. Select your Account icon
  2. Select My Account
  3. Next to the Name, select the edit icon
  4. Enter your new Name
  5. Select Submit
